Andrés Cimmarusti currently works as a yield engineer in the development of next generation microprocessors at Intel Corporation. He got his PhD in quantum physics at the University of Maryland at College Park. His graduate work was in the Quantum Optics and Francium Spectroscopy group, part of the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI), under the supervision of Prof. Luis Orozco. He got his undergraduate degree in physics at Universidad de Los Andes, located in Mérida, Venezuela. He is interested in data analytics, statistical modeling, history, DIY, programming, arduino, optics and lasers.
His hobbies include: computers, hiking, mountain biking, traveling, and reading.
